There has been much in the recent press about predictive trends - and how the internet can aid in predicting outbreaks of swineflu and the like, how twitter can identify sentiment etc. Looking a little further, google predictive search can help us find out what people are searching about. (you know - when you search on google's home page and you get suggestions) I experimented with some key phrases to see what came up: Dubai is, why is Dubai, Will Dubai, Is Dubai, Dubai and the.
Some interesting results, or perhaps obvious ones!

Extremely insightful and interesting. It made me smile just seeing it. However, to add more credibility to it, what happens if you try the same thing for other cities for comparison reasons. It would probably make the argument stronger.
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL
Also to add to this; Google as I understand it builds those lists from the most frequently searched term that others are using; so if the most frequent term search about Dubai was 'Dubai is the host to the world's most expensive horse race" then that would appear on the list and not the negative stuff you see there.
What it does highlight is that people around the world have a more negative opinion about Dubai.
Hahaha, that was hilarious!! I'm curious though.. I thought that the predictive search requests were based on what is actually being searched by users?!
