Women in Dubai
There is always the question of the unknown - what are women like in Dubai. Here are two views of women in Dubai. On the one side there is the fashionista showing off here Manolo's - and on the other is a mother of 4, balancing her career. Are these atypical views. Probably not, but if you are looking to compare lifestyles of females in Dubai versus your home town, this probably sets aside some preconceptions. The BBC video is about a year old, but the Oprah How Women Live in Dubai is recent.
And here is the Oprah Video - How Women Live in Dubai
Just remember that women in Dubai can cover the multitudes of nationalities who follow different paths, and that while these videos represent Emiratis, that number only represents 10% of the population. Nevertheless, those that thought that Dubai Women were hidden away in the home - will be a tad surprised. That certainly isn't the case.

women in dubai are no different from anywhere else....what people tend to forget is that dubai is a melting pot. a hodge podge of people from everywhere. now you tell me what kind of people are everywhere? they are all very different aren't they?
A Blessing in Tragedy - WTF? I hope you're not serious. If you are, get the GTFO, you bigoted twat.
Speaking as someone who lived in Dubai, why is this such a surprise to people? This links back to the stereotypical (bigoted) idea that the Middle East is all the same. Sigh.
It's good to see there is representation there, however, even if it is small and only one view.
What's the deal with women and shoes anyway? I honestly never notice them.
I came across this article and I enjoyed it since we are on our way there (Dubai) soon for appointments and shopping for our web boutique. I am always interested in Women from around the globe and to see how they live and maintain their families and very educational also.
Thanks,
